A Neighbourhood plan for Abbey Hey
‘Protecting our community’
- A Neighbourhood plan is a legislative document put together by the local community to shape future development, regeneration and the conservation of our area.
- Dealing with wide ranging social, economic and environmental issues (such as housing, employment, transport, protecting green areas)
Progress so far…
- A group of local people have set up, ‘Abbey Hey Neighbourhood Forum’ to front the Neighbourhood Plan which will improve the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of the area. Eventually if all goes well it will have formal legal status.

Anyone who lives or works in the area can become involved, as little or as much as YOU want.
We are welcoming people from all parts of Abbey Hey to ensure true representation of the community to help shape the plan.
